hello, so summer weather is nearly here and it is hotting up daily, you can tell when its summer because inapropriate clothing can be seen all around,..boys who should never get their feet out start wearing flip flops and girls who should know better start wearing anything that exposes as much flesh as possible…but here in carry me home we have got some incredibly respectable little dresses that are perfect for these suuny days.and with such lovely fabrics to choose from, and all are reversible so its like 2 for the price of 1…but hurry, from past experience these dont hang around for long.. so get your flip flops on and tie that sarong around yourself and get them quick..

steven here, so today i was thinking about what i could blog about and suddenly got some inspiration from gayle who has been looking at wallpaers recently, and i thought i wonder what cool kids room papers there might be, so off i went and look at these two i found..this first one is called birdsong and is only £325 to cover one wall… bargain…not, but its rather excellent and would look lovely in a nursery.and this second one is called bollywood and i think this would be best suited to a teenagers room. and this one is only £225 for one wall..
there were lots and lots of papers to choose from but none quite as dramatic as these… i wonder if gayle would let us decorate the shop with one of these ?

It’s time in the shop for me to think of some new products to buy for the shop, so I’m off to the trade show bubble

It originated in new york and it’s now in in it’s second year here in london,I’ve already been inundated by new companies sending me emails inviting me to come look at there new collection’s .I actually love choosing new things for the shop , finding something different that will fit in with all the things we already have at the shop.

It’s funny that they should contact me today as they were just featured on DailyCandy, Daily Candy is a blog I have recently come across, it has tips for cities all over the world so you can subscribe to london/kids for instance.For your daily fix of those essential things you know you need to know.. new produts ,places to eat,books to read,things to entertain the kids. and more inpotantly it all looks lovely and good enough to eat even!

so here in kingly court, the top floor is dominated by a group of very talented ladies who run independent businesses, that help make this little courtyard all the more interesting and unique.
no 1, is buzz from all the fun of the fair, a shop filled with a colourful mix of craft supplies and hand made goodies.
no 2, is fiona from black pearl. a jewellery and vintage boutique showcasing fiona’s own collection and selected vintage accessories and clothing.

no 3, is lubna from camelia teas, a tea room and shop selling a massive selection of world teas and mouthwatering cakes and snacks.
no 4, is laura and emma from fur coat and no knickers, a fab boutique showcasing an amazing selection of vintage clothing and accessories.

no 5, is jenny from red sparrow, a womens clothes shop that sells french labels and up and coming uk designers, along with jewellery and accessories.
no 6, is rosie from buffys beads, a shop that specialises in semi precious beads and jewellery making supplies.

all these ladies make kingly court a really special place to viisit, and make the shopping experience all the more special.

so how time flies, and in a few weeks we will be experiencing hoards of bargain hungry shoppers each clutching their 20% off discount voucher…yes ladies and gentlemen, its the grazia christmas shopping night… last time we had one of these nights there was smoke coming from the till as we were packed, and i was trying to be super fast…so fast that i snapped someones credit card in half as i put it in the machine, ..i thought she was going to kill me… but dont worry this year im not touching any cards, you can put your own card in the machine..ill just take the money from it.

so to get your discount go here to the carnaby website, sign up and print off your ticket, they are free. and the night is always a lot of fun and there is usually some free booze flying around…what more excuse do you need…oh and did i say 20 % OFF….everything.

we hope they buy you cards that feature boating scenes and men in caps playing golf, and ones with racing cars and footballers on the front….or is that just a memory from my fathers day card buying experience ?…and my dad never played football or raced cars ?

we hope they make you breakfast in bed and draw you a picture..or take you down the pub and get you drunk..either way happy fathers day …and like we said earlier..without you we would not be here. xxx

sometimes words just dont do justice to describe an item..you have to see it, feel it and use it, and this is no more true than with these unique finger puppets. we are sure they will almost sell themselves and we know you all will love them. they are in the shop now and will be on the website soon.

so its Sunday April the 6th…and its snowing outside…how is that possible ?..its surely meant to be sunny and getting warmer, and the flowers are meant to be blooming…aren’t they ?…anyway so its been a while since our last blog post…and i just wanted to update you all with some new images ..


with summer just around the corner..hopefully, the shop is starting to burst with new things and exciting packages are arriving almost daily..we are waiting for a new delivery of toys, and we cant wait to see them..
